Imagine this.
You get up on a beautiful Saturday morning. The sun is shining and you feel super productive. You do the dishes, run a load of laundry, get a 30 minute workout in… You are feeling GOOD about today! You sit down to eat some lunch (You even made a salad! Go you!) and start innocently scrolling through your Instagram feed. Oh, her outfit is really cute. If only I had money like her to buy something like that. Thought #1. You keep scrolling. I wish I had a relationship like that. I wish I could parent like her. If only my husband treated me the way her’s treats her. Thoughts continue to pour in as you scroll.
Maybe I should switch to Pinterest. There’s always good bible verses and uplifting pictures on there. A few minutes later, the thoughts start to come there too. Wow, she is gorgeous. Oh, I would love to travel like they do. My body will never be as fit as hers.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a scenario like this, but I’ll be completely honest… I have many times. And it almost happens like clock work. The day starts off so good, but quickly becomes dampened by thoughts of comparison. It’s a snake that comes in
